Obituary of Marietta Russo

Stratford Resident Marietta Candelora Russo, age 91, of Stratford, a homemaker, died on Sunday, March 5, 2006 in Connecticut Hospice. Born in Stratford on March 14, 1914, she was an avid gardener, enjoyed sewing and knitting and took great joy in cooking for her family. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Anthony Russo, Sr. Survivors include three children, Carl Russo and his wife, Karin of Redding, Anthony Russo, Jr. and his wife, Judith of Oxford and Eileen Russo of Stratford, a sister, Josephine Ettorre of Trumbull, seven grandchildren, Carl Russo, Jr., Brian Russo, Christian Russo, Sara Russo, Lynn Hawthorne, Jane Collins and Amy Zehal, four great grandchildren, Carl III, Brandon, Vincent and Jesse as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 8:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
