Obituary of Laurie M. Rosa
Laurie M. Scippa Rosa, age 45, of Shelton, beloved wife of James V. Rosa, died peacefully after a long and courageous battle on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on December 6, 1962, she was the loving daughter of Anthony A. and Joan Paulishak Scippa of Shelton and a graduate of Norwalk Community College. She was active in St. Catherine of Siena Church where she sang in the choir and also volunteered at Booth Hill School in Shelton. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband and parents, survivors include her cherished children, John James, Anthony Victor and Jennifer Marie, a brother, Paul Scippa and his wife Marilyn of Ansonia, a sister, Deborah Stewert and her husband Ray of Arizona, her mother and father-in-law, Evelyn and John Rosa of Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Donations Information
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a scholarship fund to be established for the benefit of Lauries children.
