Obituary of Josephine B. Retartha

Stratford Resident Josephine Fazio Retartha, age 76, of Stratford, died peacefully on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on July 11, 1930 she was a daughter of the late Carl and Grace Petruccelli Fazio. A homemaker, Josephine was dedicated to the care of her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed by all. She was predeceased by her loving daughter, Amelia Retartha. Survivors include her beloved husband of 50 years, Joseph J. Retartha, three loving children, a son, Frank Retartha of Stratford, two daughters, Grace Sissy Oliver of Milford and Jo Ann Granton of Stratford, a brother, Joseph Fazio and his wife Polly of Newtown, sisters in law, Sally Luciano, Lucille Sarock and her husband Al, all of Florida, four cherished grandchildren, Alicia, Vincent, Angelina and Abigail and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday May 9, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Milford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
