Obituary of Karen Reilly

Loving Wife and Mother Karen Dunford Reilly, age 54, of Shelton, beloved wife of John B. Reilly, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Born on October 9, 1957 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of Robert E. and JoAnn Dunford of Trumbull. Karen was a 1975 graduate of St. Josephs High School and earned her Bachelors Degree at Southern Connecticut State University. Over her professional career, she was a teacher, manager, owned and operated several businesses and most recently was a realtor with Realty Quest in Shelton. She was a longtime member of the Brownson Country Club and a dedicated parishioner at St. Lawrence Church in Shelton. Karen was a loving wife and mother who was dedicated to the care of her family and will be deeply missed by all. In addition to her beloved husband of 18 years, John and parents, survivors include a cherished son, Brian D. Reilly of Shelton, a brother, Robert J. Dunford and his wife Ruth Ann of Shelton, her mother-in-law, Laurette Reilly of Fairfield, two nephews, Robert P. Dunford and his wife Carly and James P. Dunford, all of Shelton. She is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law as well as additional nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton, on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawn Cemetery, Shelton. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
