Obituary of Edward Raska

Resident of Trumbull Edward Raska, age 90, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Lillian Martisek Raska, died on Sunday, May 15, 2011 in Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in New York City on October 26, 1920, he was a son of the late John and Marie Hula Raska. Mr. Raska was a Design Engineer at Sikorsky for over 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his great great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Maefair Health Care Center and Gentiva as well as the nurses and staff in the emergency room and on the ninth and tenth floors at Bridgeport Hospital. Survivors include a son Edward and his wife Becky Raska of Texas, a daughter, Linda and her husband Richard Lato of Trumbull, four grandchildren, Chris and his wife Natalie Raska, Jason Locke, Debbie Lato and Rick Lato, five great grandchildren, Catherine, Ethan, Krystle, Sly and James Jr. and two great great grandchildren, Tyler and Alyssa. He was pre-deceased by a brother, John Raska. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
