Obituary of Sophie Bonazzo

Former Resident of Trumbull Sophie Zawadska Bonazzo, age 91, formerly of Bonazzo Drive, Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Joseph Bonazzo Sr., died on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 in Lord Chamberlain Health Care. Born in Bridgeport on June 25, 1920, she was a daughter of the late John and Alexandra Zawadska. She was a kind, loving woman who loved to cook and was dedicated to the care of her family. Survivors include a son Gary Bonazzo of Shelton, two daughters, Janet Voight and her husband Henry of Weston and Linda Maddox and her husband John of Union, KY, four grandchildren, Joseph and Jessica Voight of Weston, Austin Maddox of Union, KY and Lauren Bonazzo Camarda and her husband Chris of Seattle, WA. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by a son, Joseph Paul Bonazzo Jr., a daughter-in-law, Pamela Meachan Bonazzo and a grandson, Christopher Joseph Bonazzo. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
