Obituary of Shirley Peters

Shirley Peters, age 80, of Shelton passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Peters, Jr. Born in Tunkhannock, PA on May 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late George and Arlene Swan Schaefer. Shirley loved to sew, bake and cook. She was also very artistic and talented and took great pride in her artwork. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include David Peters and companion Maggie Peters of Trumbull, Mark Peters and his wife Jennifer of Canton, GA, four grandchildren, Melissa, Mitchell, Natalie, Sarah and a brother, Donald Schaefer of Tunkhannock, PA. She was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, Michelle Peters. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow at Lawn Cemetery, Shelton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
