Obituary of Rose C. Pester

Caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Rose Colandrea Pester, age 83, of Clinton, formerly of Bridgeport, beloved wife of 62 years of the late Robert E. Pester, died on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Gladeview Nursing Center. Born in Bridgeport on December 29, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Sabatina Urcinoli Colandrea. Rose truly loved to cook and entertain for her family and friends at her home. She enjoyed playing pinochle and watching sports with her husband especially the New York Yankees. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who had a deep love and devotion for her family. She will be deeply missed by all. Survivors include, two daughters, Diane Chuka and her husband Peter of Trumbull and Judy Pester of Clinton, three grandchildren, Peter Chuka Jr. and his wife Wendy, Daniel Chuka and his wife Deanna and John Pester Constance, four great grandchildren, Daniella, Dominick, Hannah and John, two sisters, Gloria Paul and her husband William of Trumbull and Susan Mancuso and her husband Domenic of Guilford, a sister-in-law, Maxine Yarson of Milford as well as many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a daughter Bonnie, sisters and brothers, Mary Odice, Frank Colandrea, Dorothy Shelby, Michael Colandrea and Eleanor Davidson. Funeral Information Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will take place on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Margarets Shrine, 2539 Park Ave., Bridgeport.
