Obituary of Vincent A. Palumbo

Resident of Bridgeport PALUMBO Vincent A. (Rusty) Palumbo, age 75, of Bridgeport, loving husband of the late Vincenza Basile Palumbo, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, March 11, 2011. Born on June 30, 1935 in Troia, Province of Foggia, Italy, he was a son of the late Alfonso and Filomena Cibelli Palumbo. Mr. Palumbo was a retired iron worker and fabricator with Olsen Steel Co. He was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, sculpting and photography. Survivors include his children, a daughter, Maria Matarazzo and her husband Ralph of Bridgeport, two sons, Anthony Palumbo and his wife Michele of Ansonia and Roberto Palumbo of Bridgeport; three brothers and a sister, his twin brother, Secondino Palumbo and his wife Assunta of Bridgeport, Cristina Sementilli and her husband Mario of Bridgeport; Armando Palumbo and his wife Rose of Shelton, Fred Palumbo and his wife Cecilia of Stratford; two grandchildren, Gino and Elisa Palumbo; three sisters in law, Rosetta Basile of Stratford, Giuseppina Caputo and her husband Rocco of Italy and Nina Paolella of Italy; as well as his companion Carmela Pasacreta of Trumbull and several nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum in St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
