Obituary of John A. Oleynick

John A. Oleynick, Sr., age 87, of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Lucille Izzo Oleynick. Born in Bridgeport, on October 6, 1925, he was a son of the late John A. and Mary Langen Oleynick. A US Marine Corp Veteran of World War II, Johns strong work ethic demonstrated itself as he was the owner of Mohegan Market of Bridgeport. He truly loved gardening and landscaping and watching football, but his greatest joy in life was being with his family. In addition to his beloved wife of 63 years, Lucille, other survivors include his son John A. Oleynick, Jr. and his wife Christine of Weston, his 4 grandchildren, John A. Oleynick, III, Bethany Oleynick Mpuku, George Oleynick and Andrew Oleynick, and a great grandson Mason Mpuku. He was predeceased by 7 brothers and sisters. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held directly in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport on Friday at 10:00 am for a Mass of Christian Burial. Inurnment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
