Obituary of Sally C. Norman

Sally Norman, age 92, of Fairfield passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Norman who passed in 1992. Born in Bridgeport, on February 19, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Antonina Romeo Cacciola. She was proud to have been the oldest graduate from the Sacred Heart University at the age of 81 to obtain her bachelors degree. She was also a longtime volunteer at the Cambridge Manor for the last 17 years. She is survived by her sister, Rose Cacciola of Bridgeport and had been predeceased by her brother, Patrick Cacciola and a sister, Pauline Verrilli. Other survivors include her children, Gerard Norman and his wife Janice Mezick-Norman of Woodbridge, Stanley Norman and his wife Jacky of Schenectady, NY and Diana Norman-Capriotti and her husband Jeffrey of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, five grandchildren, Jon Norman, Lindsey Norman, Jeff Norman, Jason Norman and his wife Janet and Jennifer Bracy and her husband Mike, and two great grandchildren, Ashton Bracy and Jackie OConnell. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
