Obituary of John Francis Murphy

Retired Senior Vice President of Sales and Distribution for Sony Music John F. Murphy, age 56 of Trumbull, died suddenly on Saturday, June 2, 2007, while vacationing in Arizona. John retired as Senior Vice-President of Sales and Distribution for Sony Music after 25 years of service. Born in Boston and raised in Medford, Ma. He was the son of the late Timothy and Louise Bowen Murphy. He was a Trumbull resident for 20 years and an active parishioner and trustee for St. Catherine of Siena Parish. He had a love for spending time with his family, photography and travel. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Gentile Murphy, his son John Matthew of Warwick, RI, his daughter Sara Lyn of Malden, MA, two brothers, Paul and his wife Donna of Melrose, MA and Robert of Everett, MA, four sisters, Louise of Arlington, MA, Helen Marino and her husband Peter of Burlington, MA, Regina and Steven Sullivan of West Medford, MA., and Mary Hughes and her husband Kenny of Arlington, MA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends can pay their respects on Thursday, June 7, 2007 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Road, Trumbull.
