Obituary of Richard A. Mix

Richard A. Mix, age 60, beloved husband of Robin Compagna Mix of Shelton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Greenwich on April 29, 1953, he was a son of Dora Billingham Mix of Sarasota, FL and the late Ralph Mix. Richard worked for many years at Excelsior Hardware which was founded by his great grandfather, Elisha Mix and most recently was employed at Alinabal in Milford as a tool and die maker. In addition to Robin, his beloved wife of 33 years, survivors include his daughter, Vanessa Mix, his son, Shawn Mix, three sisters, Judy Copland and her husband Ted, Claire Fawcett and her husband Jim, and Nancy Tucker as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends can greet the family on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull with a prayer service at 7:45 p.m. to conclude the evening. The interment will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. directly in Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Ave., Stamford, with a reception to follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Mix Family residence.
