Obituary of Daniel T. Sinclair

Daniel "Dan" T. Sinclair, age 60, of Shelton, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025. Born in Bridgeport on March 5, 1965, Dan was a son of James F. Sinclair and the late Jean Witkiewicz and a step son of Teresa (Pagliari) Sinclair and was a lifelong resident of Shelton.

Dan was a graduate of Shelton High School and Sacred Heart University with a bachelor's degree in history. While at SHU he enjoyed the year he spent studying abroad at Edinburgh University in Scotland. He was currently employed by the U.S. Postal Service with nearly 30 years of dedicated service where he was known for his friendly nature and smile. He was an avid sports fan and loved rooting for the New York Mets and Giants. He was an active member of the Bridgeport Elks Lodge 36 and the Catholic War Veterans Post 1562 where he developed many long-lasting relationships. Dan had a lifelong love of music and played the drums. He will be remembered for his generosity to family and friends whenever someone was in need and as a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend to all those he touched.

In addition to his father and step mother, he leaves a loving sister, Sandra Foley and her husband Timothy as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, James F. Sinclair, Jr.

Friends may greet the family on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull with a prayer service to take place at 6:30 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
