Obituary of Theresa A. Rosso

Theresa A. (Cueto) Rosso, age 57, of Bridgeport passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at her home. Born in Bridgeport on May 6, 1966, she was a daughter of the late Paul A. Cueto, Sr. and Dorothea (Porciello) Cueto of Milford. Theresa was proud to be employed by the U.S Postal Service, where she had worked as a clerk for over 20 years. 

She was a motorcycle enthusiast and had an affection for all animals, especially cats. Theresa enjoyed cooking for others, had a passion for shopping, and a knack for finding amazing deals. Trips to Vermont filled her with joy!  When we think about Theresa, friends always said she could walk into a crowded room and "own it” within 10 minutes.  Her kind and caring personality was evident in her willingness to help anyone in need or struggling.  A loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her adoring mother Dorothea, other survivors include her cherished daughter, Alyssa Rosso and fiancé Matthew Hyde of Bridgeport, her devoted sister, Dolores (Cueto) Mason and husband Steven of Milford, her supportive brother, John Cueto of Monroe, her sister-in-law, Carmela (Alibrandi) Cueto of Naugatuck, and her longtime partner, Peter McDougall, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Several cousins near and far will continue to honor her memory.  We are thankful for her kind and supportive friends at Crescent Crossing.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary and Anita Cueto, her brothers, Paul A. Cueto Jr and James J. Cueto, her beloved nephew, Andrew S. Mason and former husband, Gary J. Rosso, Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 10:30 am directly in St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
